Kitchener to Victoria: five days just to cross Ontario, a charging problem that cost me a day, then the Prairies, the Rockies, and Vancouver Island.

Sep 20 Collingwood Saw my friend Dan, who gave me the bad charging advice.
Sep 20 Bruce Peninsula National Park Filmed mac and cheese with Sarah.
Sep 21 Chi-Cheemaun ferry Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. Then a Petro-Canada charger was out of service, and I spent the day on a slow charger.
Sep 21 Sault Ste. Marie Arrived that evening, a day behind.
Sep 22 Lake Superior Provincial Park Filmed minestrone.
Sep 23 Rainbow Falls Provincial Park Filmed the rainbow salad.
Sep 24 Thunder Bay A stop on a long driving day.
Sep 24 Rushing River Provincial Park Just camping.
Sep 25 Winnipeg Saw my friend Nina.
Sep 25 Riding Mountain National Park Filmed rye mountain muffins.
Sep 26–27 Grasslands National Park Two days in a dark sky preserve. Made grass-fed milk bread.
Sep 28–29 Drumheller Lost my Dinosaur Provincial Park reservation with the lost day, so a hotel here. Filmed dinosaur kale salad by the hoodoos.
Sep 29–Oct 1 Banff National Park Two days. Made Banff bourguignon.
Oct 1 Okanagan Lake Provincial Park No cooking.
Oct 2 Vancouver The ferry to Nanaimo.
Oct 2–3 Nanaimo A hotel. Made Nanaimo bars before leaving.
Oct 3 Victoria Drove down Vancouver Island.

I filmed these videos in September and October 2024. I haven’t had time to finish editing them yet. When I got home at the end of the trip, I moved to a new province and started a new full-time job as a VP of Marketing. Then I bought land and started building a house. So, it’s been busy!
